FUN & FRIENDSHIP

The safe and engaging childcare that you need with the fun and exciting activities that children love.

“I just wanted to take the time to say thank you for the summer clubs. My girls had a wonderful time. This summer was the first summer I’ve had to plan holiday camps for the girls and so I was trialling a number of different ones. Not only did you offer great value for money, but the guys that greeted us each day were far more switched on, polite and professional...

I will definitely be coming back to you in the future and recommending you to other parents, so thank you to you and your team!  Have a great day and I look forward to booking the girls in again.

Mrs H – Holiday Club Mum

“[my son] had a great time on the Wednesday. So much so that he asked to go back on the Thursday with his sister. They both had a great time so thank you so much for offering these holiday sessions. Your coaches are great! “

A Typical Day

A general format structures the time your child has with us, but this is influenced by the preferences of the specific group of children on the day, the weather and the availability of facilities/equipment.

Although our holiday club days have football at their core, there are lots of other sports on offer throughout the day. The schedule may include: badminton, baseball, basketball, bowls, cricket, golf, handball, hockey, netball, rounders, rugby, table tennis, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and more.

Registration occurs in our base room from 8.45am until around 9.30am and during that time the coaches encourage the children to interact with one another by tasking them to plan the first activity. The day’s physical activity periods last between an hour and an hour and a half, with essential rest and sustenance breaks in-between. Incidental films are shown during breaks with other activities being available such as Xbox, Playstation, Wii Sport, art and craft, traditional boardgames, puzzles and equipment.

The first physical acivity is often a free-play group activity. A break follows, after which there is a group activity either outdoors or in the sports hall. Depending on the intensity and duration of the activities more than one break may be taken. An hour lunchbreak starts at around 12.30pm.

The afternoon begins with another period of outdoor football free-play followed and then more group activities. The last activity period is normally taken indoors. Children are then ready for collection from the break room from 4.45pm.

Q & A

You may find it useful to the know the answers of these common questions.

Q1  Would my child enjoy your Holiday Club; she’s not into football?
A1  Although each holiday club day contains a variety of sports by design football is a repeating feature throughout. This is because we are a football based organisation and most of our holiday club customers also attend our football academy, or partner football club. However, we also work in schools delivering all sorts of extracurricular clubs and PE lessons which brings us a different group of children, and we therefore cater for these children too.

Q2  Would my child be okay to attend Holiday Club; he will be five years old but not yet school year one until several more months?
A2  We design our holiday club days to be appropriate for children that are in school year one and above. However, this is only a guide and where a younger child is emotionally, socially and physically developed enough to be with us, then we’re happy for you to book. All children must be able to follow the coaches’ group instructions without any special or individual attention being needed.

Q3  What are your rules of supervision?
A3  As you’d expect during activities and rest periods the children are supervised constantly throughout the day. Our holiday club group use the facilities within the building that are not directly accessible by the public. Please note that the refreshment vending machines and cold water dispenser are in public areas and our coaches aren’t able to leave the main group and accompany individuals if they wish to use them. Therefore only children given prior parental/carer permission will be allowed to leave the group to use the vending machines. When group activities are taking place away from our base room, e.g. on the astro, permission to visit the toilet or fetch personal equipment/clothing from the base room will only be given to individual children aged 8 and above; children younger than this will be assigned two older ‘buddies’ to accompany them.

Q4  Can you guarantee the security of high value items such as smart phones and fitness devices?
A4  We require explicit written permission at the time of booking for children to use these items during holiday club time (use the Special Needs box on the online booking form). We don’t take responsibility for improper use, damage or loss.

Q5  What is your lost property policy?
A5  All items of lost property are deposited at Skyliner reception. This enables you to collect your property beyond the times of Holiday Club whenever the facility is open. There is no direct phone line to Skyliner reception but you can check in person for lost items during all opening times.
