Our coaching and refereeing scholarship schemes provide voluntary and paid opportunities to learn and work alongside our professional football coaches.
Young Leaders
- Ages 14 to 18
- Flexible number of hours per week, throughout the whole year
- Opportunities to support regular training sessions and matches
- Children’s holiday clubs and excursions supervision
- Paid work offers when qualified
- Fully funded essential checks and entry FA qualifications
- Supported advanced FA learning (personal guidance and grant location)
Part-time Scholarships
- Ages 16 to 18
- Flexible number of hours per week, from the start of September through to end of July
- Part-time scholarships combine full-time study with part-time practical on-the-job training
- As a part-time scholar you’ll:
- Work alongside experienced staff
- Gain job-specific skills
- Earn a small wage
- Study towards a related qualifications
- Part-time scholarships usually last one year, with the option of a second year, or becoming a full-time scholar, or you can transfer to our apprenticeship scheme
- During and/or at the end of the part-time scholarship you’ll be offered the opportunity to work and train abroad with one of our international partner organisations
Full-time Scholarships
- Ages 18 to 21
- 32 hours per week, from the start of September through to end of July
- Full-time scholarships combine full-time practical on-the-job training with part-time study in the form of irregular short courses
- As a part-time scholar you’ll:
- Work alongside experienced staff
- Gain job-specific skills
- Earn a wage
- Study towards a related qualifications
- Scholarships usually last one year, with the option of a second year, or you can transfer to our apprenticeship scheme
- During and/or at the end of the full-time scholarship you’ll be offered the opportunity to work and train abroad with one of our international partner organisations.
