Supporting young people in their growth and development
We believe that by playing the game and taking a reflective measure so much can be learned about ‘life’; where the skills and knowledge acquired can be applied to all sorts of situations, ambitions and sometimes hardships.
Supporting the game gives equally good learning opportunities that can equip an individual for life’s challenges, and therefore we engage young people through various schemes and programmes to develop their general life skills. We apply our own initiatives (Young Leaders Programme and Scholarships) and work with others to achieve our aims; such as the Prince’s Trust and local colleges and schools (work experience programmes and community volunteering pathways).
“… Please thank the staff. They were all very friendly and welcoming, and made me feel like part of the team. I enjoyed the experience and will use it in future jobs and interviews. At the end of my course I would like to volunteer and coach at your Club…” TS – a nineteen year old Prince’s Trust TEAM graduate

Assisting and working with other charities
There are many instances where we can bring our expertise to help other charities provide a football experience for their end client or for fundraising purposes. Through the deployment of staff and young leaders we support all sorts of activities; from international missions, large special tournament events to footy stalls at school/church fetes. Whether you’re a charity, community group, or business we may be able to help you with your objectives.
Delivering sponsored sessions through coach and equipment funding
Through grant aid the Trust can provide lessons and sports sessions without charge to schools, the local community and charities. Also, from time to time we need to invest in new kit and our equipment needs replenishing too. If you’d like to sponsor a session or fund kit/equipment, you can either use our online shop or contact our Commercial Manager.
Helping others to deliver sport by leveraging experience, expertise and assets
Working with other local sports and education providers the Trust can help improve quality, remove administrative burden and make sure end users get the most benefit from limited budgets.
Organising national sport and physical activity initiatives
Working with national organisations the Trust is part of several campaigns that encourage and support the use of sport and in particular football for improved health and well-being.
Providing development and recreational pathways in other sports
We are able to advise on a suitable provider relative to the aspirations and ability of each child, whether it be for casual recreation, or trials and academy level training for gifted players. Our referrals to other expert sports providers mean that we can introduce you to higher level coaching within local quality organisations.
Creating philanthropy gateways for community conscious organisations and individuals
As a conduit for businesses and private individuals who wish to contribute to local community projects and programmes that have real legacy value the Trust can ensure best use of sponsorship and anonymous donations.
If you’d like to make a donation, you can either use our online shop or contact our Commercial Manager.
