Portman Road Tournament Experience; an unforgettable action packed day of small sided football competition at the home of Premiership contenders Ipswich Town FC. With mini soccer pitches marked on the Portman Road main pitch, the competition provides a special challenge and environment for our younger Academy teams.
Players will visit the home and away changing rooms and have their names announced as they line up in the players’ tunnel and walk out on to the stadium pitch. Tournament will be in an initial league format and then cup finals for the highest placed teams. Medals and certificates will be awarded to all players and there will be trophy presentations for the winner and runners-up teams in both the Champions Cup and Shield Competition for each age group. You’ll be able to follow the action on a live fixtures website, and purchase professionally taken photographs.
This product is available to only enrolled and paid-up participants of our Academy sessions, unless otherwise agreed.
Cost includes:
- Supervision, football instruction and care at all times by Sporting Trust staff
- Changing rooms tour
- Medals and certificates
Cost does not include:
- Transport – Sporting Trust staff will meet you at the venue
- Food and drinks – Players will need to bring these
- Spectator admission fee (£5 per adult, including charity donation)
- Optional professional photographs
The price is calculated to cover the minimum number of players required for each squad. We wish to give all children in each group the opportunity of attending, so we will enlarge the squads to allow for this and refunds may be given if individual game times are affected.
How to book
Place the product in your basket. There are no variables to select, but please provide any special details regarding health and wellbeing.
What to bring
- Academy white shirt, navy blue shorts and socks (you are advised to travel in kit outbound and perhaps bring a set of fresh clothing for the homeward journey)
- Outdoor football boots
