Lockdown-3 Suspends All Sporting Trust Activities

Hi players, parents and carers

The Prime Minister in his lockdown speech advised that Lockdown-3 restrictions are likely to remain until at least after the school half term holiday, probably the end of February. Therefore during this time we will again implement similar arrangements to previous ‘enforced rest periods’ regarding memberships and payments. Please consider the two options below.

Option 1 – Do nothing
If you make a payment and do nothing for 28 days after, then as per our terms and conditions we will regard the payment as a donation. In these unprecedented times your support is gratefully received. Note that to date the Trust has not been granted any national or local government financial support. The Trust is a not-for-profit social enterprise and so any surplus from donated monies will be used for the benefit our members. Last lockdown with your generosity we produced our children’s activity packs, distributed holiday club day passes and credited adult sessions in lieu; on this occasion surplus will be used to provide online football related entertainment and challenges for the children on our YouTube channel, and adult walking football sessions in lieu.

Option 2 – Request a refund
If you don’t wish to make your payments, which is perfectly reasonable, then you can request that they are refunded. To do this send an email to: Info@SportingTrust.org. Your account and membership will continue unaffected and so you won’t need to sign on again. To minimise our administration costs and related bank fees, if you’d like to take up this option, please let us know before 14th January.

We will update you on any changes as we proceed. If you have any questions, just get back to me. Thank you and keep safe.  🙂
